Environmental efficiencies
Cheshunt Park Golf Centre is
committed to providing an environmentally friendly service to our
customers. We have an ‘Energy Management Plan’ that details
our short, medium and long term plans for energy
efficiency. Below is a small selection of the measures that we
have put in place to improve the Centre's energy efficiency:
What?
Water saving
devices in all toilet cisterns
Why?
To conserve
water use
What?
Push button
taps
Why?
To prevent these being left running
What?
Sensor
controlled lighting in toilets and changing rooms
Why?
To prevent lights being left on
What?
Recycling bins for plastic bottles, cans, paper and glass
bottles used in the bar. In November 2011 we also started
recycling office paper and introduced battery recycling
Why?
To recycle
as many materials as possible. View our recycling log.
What?
Recycling
facilities in our car park
Why?
To also
enable us to recycle cardboard
What we are hoping
to do
What?
Continue to expand our use of motion sensor lights to
offices
and other staff areas
Why?
To minimise
lights being left on and reduce electricity costs
What?
Fit water
saving devices to our showers
Why?
To minimise
water wastage
What?
Complete work on a bore hole
Why?
To utilise
our own water supply for use as part of the
Golf Centre grounds maintenance contract
Environmental conditions
See Cheshunt Park Golf Centre's present energy usage compared to
previous years by viewing our energy monitor.
We aim to maintain the following environmental conditions:
Heating
- 18-25 degrees centigrade in main public and
staff areas and 18-22 degrees centigrade in the St Andrews Suite
and Belfry Bar
Ventilation
- three to five air changes per hour
Lighting
Display Energy Certificate (DEC)
Please note that Cheshunt Park Golf Centre
does not display an Energy Certificate. This is because the
floor area of the site is below the current threshold for public
buildings which is 1,000m3.
