Walking is good for you!
Information about the Public Rights of Way within the Borough of
Broxbourne may be found on our public
footpaths page.
Guided walks
Come and enjoy walks in and around the Borough of Broxbourne -
it's fun, relaxing, sociable and great for your health. Some
walks are free of charge, but where there is a small fee,
tickets must be purchased beforehand from one stop shops
or at Broxbourne Civic Hall. Alternatively you can pay by Switch or
credit card by calling 01992 441946.
The cost per walk remains at £1, with tickets available in books
of five (£5 per book); one ticket must be handed in at the
beginning of each walk. Tickets will be valid for up to two
years.
Our informative leaders will help you discover the attractive local
countryside in friendly groups.

Points to remember:
- Wear suitable clothing and appropriate, comfortable
footwear
- Toilet facilities are often limited and not always
available
- Feel free to bring your own food and drink
- Everyone (including the dog) is welcome. Walks are not
suitable for pushchairs unless you are really
determined
- Tickets must be purchased beforehand. Please remember to bring
your ticket with you to be handed in at the beginning of each walk
(This does not apply to walks organised by the CMS)

Wormley West End circular walk
The Wormley West End circular walk is a
short self-guided trail which takes in interesting
historical features of the area. A hard copy of the
walk is available from Lowewood Museum. This circular walk is
the result of a shared learning project undertaken by members of
the Lea Valley and Broxbourne branches of U3A and is sponsored
by Friends of Lowewood Museum.
The Hertfordshire Way
Hertfordshire Way is a 166-mile circular route along public
rights of way within the county of Hertfordshire, with a new
extension of 24 miles. Part of the Hertfordshire Way passes through
Broxbourne (legs 10A, Cuffley to Broxbourne and 10B, Broxbourne to

Hoddesdon Conservation Area - Heritage Trail
Some of the most interesting buildings
in Hoddesdon are best seen on foot. The Heritage Trail
will help you to locate these buildings and tell you a little
about their history.
Lee Valley Regional Park 
The award-winning Lee Valley Regional Park stretches an
incredible 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee, from
Ware in Hertfordshire and through Essex to the Thames at East
India Dock Basin offering a
variety of walks. A large section of the park
runs the length of the Eastern boundary of the Borough of
Broxbourne.
Health walks
If you want to enjoy your local park, meet new
people and benefit your health and wellbeing, come along to our
volunteer-led health walks. In order to expand our walks programme
we are looking to recruit more volunteer leaders, especially those
willing to lead a fortnightly or even monthly, weekday walk.
