U3 Unsigned Bands Night
Thursday 22 January, doors open 7pm
Broxbourne Civic Hall
Live bands night featuring the best unsigned bands in Herts,
Cambridge and Essex alongside the recently signed band Proceed.
£5 for five bands!
Performing on the night will be Hertford band Proceed, Harlow
band Anything in Mind, Broxbourne trio Splitfire and Essex
band Dregs of Society.
Proceed have recently signed with Scylla Records and
were the 2008 winners of the Rock Garden and Gardening Club's
Battle of the bands. Their debut mini album, 'Seven Months And A
Fire Blanket' sees Proceed blend glorious pop hooks with brutal
metal riffs. Having honed their craft on the live circuit, taking
in shows alongside fellow noisy UK upstarts, Enter Shikari, Flood
of Red, Devil Sold His Soul and We Are The Ocean, Proceed have
become quite the spectacle live, turning everything you’ll hear on
‘Seven Months and a Fire Blanket’ up a notch further!
Anything In Mind are a young and vibrant four piece rock band
from Harlow. The band have been working on a new sound and new
material. Having sold out their last gig this is your
opportunity to hear their new sound so act fast and book
tickets early!
Splitfire are a sharp-suited three-piece from Broxbourne. With a
frontman who sounds like the lovechild of Paul Weller and Mark
Perry, a bass player bouncier than a Bruce Foxton feather-cut and a
drummer with the madcap genius of Keith Moon, they're sure to stir
up a fair bit of 'bovver'.

Dregs of Society are a ska/punk band who have just released
their debut EP Sax Offenders! Made up of members, Arnivore, Jinj,
Number 2, Hoe Bi Wan Kenobi, Ed St Cool and Prince Rimshot II, all
they ask is for you to come and jingle jangle to their music.
Having been around as a collective for about two and half
years now, they have played with the likes of the Aggrolites,
Scroobius Pip, Random Hand, Fandangle and many more! This gig will
be their first one in almost four months so should not to
be missed!
