2008 Jobs Fair invitation
Employers in the Borough of Broxbourne are invited to
participate in the forthcoming Jobs Fair organised by Broxbourne
Council, Jobcentre Plus, and The Herald newspaper. The event will
be held at Grundy Park Leisure Centre in Windmill Lane, Cheshunt on
Thursday 9 October from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
Last year’s event attracted 400 visitors to
see the jobs on offer from the 25 exhibitors, including Broxbourne
Council, Marks and Spencer, Work Solutions and NextStep with
Hertford Regional College.
The Jobs Fair provides the ideal situation for
employers in the Borough to meet local people seeking employment,
whether they are looking to recruit on a permanent basis, or for
seasonal and casual work.
This initiative supports an important theme in
Broxbourne Council’s Community Plan, which focuses on ‘prosperity
for all’. This can be achieved by broadening the Borough’s skills
base and developing the knowledge economy through new employment
and education projects.
