Annual Community Open Day
The Council’s annual
community Open Day will be held on Saturday 5 July at the Borough
offices in Churchgate, Cheshunt, between 2pm and 5pm. This
free civic event will host many community groups and be a
family-orientated event with something of interest for most age
groups.
Live music will be played by local band ‘Loose
Change’ and the winners of the audience vote in the recent ‘Pop
Luck’ competition. Other activities for children to
participate in, include a bouncy castle, face painting and an
opportunity to have their photo taken with Bob the
Badger.
Residents will be able to view the wide range
of council services provided for residents and visit over 80 other
local organisations exhibiting at the Community Open Day.
These include Cheshunt Horticultural Society, St. Mary’s Dog
Training Club, Cuffley Players, the Boys Brigade, Cheshunt Karate
Club and South East Herts beekeepers. There will also be a
Fairtrade stall selling goods and offering residents information on
Fairtrade issues and initiatives. Many other local groups and
organisations will be in attendance to provide information and
family fun.
Entry to Open Day and participation in the
activities are free. All residents and their friends are
invited to attend this community event.
