Annual Community Open Day

The Mayor and children with Bob the badgerThe Council’s annual community Open Day will be held on Saturday 5 July at the Borough offices in Churchgate, Cheshunt, between 2pm and 5pm.  This free civic event will host many community groups and be a family-orientated event with something of interest for most age groups.

 

Live music will be played by local band ‘Loose Change’ and the winners of the audience vote in the recent ‘Pop Luck’ competition.  Other activities for children to participate in, include a bouncy castle, face painting and an opportunity to have their photo taken with Bob the Badger. 

 

Residents will be able to view the wide range of council services provided for residents and visit over 80 other local organisations exhibiting at the Community Open Day.  These include Cheshunt Horticultural Society, St. Mary’s Dog Training Club, Cuffley Players, the Boys Brigade, Cheshunt Karate Club and South East Herts beekeepers.  There will also be a Fairtrade stall selling goods and offering residents information on Fairtrade issues and initiatives.  Many other local groups and organisations will be in attendance to provide information and family fun. 

 

Entry to Open Day and participation in the activities are free.  All residents and their friends are invited to attend this community event.
