More horticulture apprentices to join Council contractor
Broxbourne Services, the Council’s in-house contractor, is
increasing the number of horticulture apprentices employed as part
of an ongoing programme to develop trainees in this area of
work.
The apprenticeships are completed over 18 months through
on-the-job training alongside experienced operatives and attendance
at Capel Manor College one day per week during term times.
Participants will receive a diploma in work based horticulture upon
successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Broxbourne Services currently employs one other apprentice who
is due to complete his qualification in August. Four new
apprentices are due to join Broxbourne Services’ grounds
maintenance team in early February, ahead of the start of the new
college term.
