Final ‘Special Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Olympic Games’ Awards presented at Council Meeting, 15 May
At the annual Council meeting on Tuesday 15
May, the final Special Diamond Jubilee and London 2012 Olympic
Games Awards were presented.
Awards were given to eight exceptional members
of the local community; George Evans, Joy Grahame, Rebecca Lashley,
Celia Morris, Lee Rayner, Michael Tam and Rich and Elaine
Youngman.

The awardees were presented
with a certificate by the Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor Eddy
Rowland.
Over recent months, Broxbourne Council has
invited the public to nominate inspiring residents who have made a
significant contribution to the life of the Borough. A further nine
awards were presented at meetings in February and April.
All recipients will receive tickets to the
canoe slalom events at the upcoming London 2012 Games which are
being held at the Borough’s Lee Valley White Water Centre.
The Council has invited all 17 award winners
to attend the annual Garden Party in June.
