Councillor Crump-Eynon elected Mayor
Councillor
Carol Crump-Eynon was appointed Mayor of Broxbourne at Broxbourne
Council on Tuesday night. Councillor Crump-Eynon succeeds
Councillor Charles Tranham and will start her duties with immediate
effect. Councillor Crump-Eynon recently married Wilf and has
two daughters and five grandchildren from a previous marriage.
Councillor Crump-Eynon is a local business
woman. She was first elected to Broxbourne Council in 2002, serving
Theobalds ward and re-elected in 2006.
Councillor Crump-Eynon has served on all of
the main Council committees, including Scrutiny and Community
Services in 2007/08. In previous years she has served on
committees for Planning and Licensing, Environmental Services,
Finance and Personnel and the Service Organisations
Board.
Proceeds from this year’s Mayor’s charity will
be split between the Parkinson’s Society, Herts Young Carers and
Local Youth Projects.
The Deputy Mayor for this year will be
Councillor Mrs White. Councillor White was elected in 1991 as
a Councillor for the Hoddesdon North ward. She was re-elected in
1996 and has previously served as Deputy Mayor and Mayor in
1999/2000 and 2000/01 respectively.
