Local neighbourhood budget funds works to an alleyway in Bury Green

lordship alley

The first phase of improvement works to the alleyway between Lordship Road and St Mary’s Church has now been completed.

The alleyway was raised as an issue that needed attention at the Cheshunt Central and Bury Green Neighbourhood Forum, where residents requested that something be done in the alleyway to make it more ‘user-friendly’ at all times of the day.

New fencing and lighting was installed in the area at a total cost of £2,900 which has been funded from the local neighbourhood budget.  The Community Payback team were also put to work to cut back vegetation and litter pick the area.

The final phase of work in the alleyway will be resurfacing that should be completed by the end of February.
