Olympix week in Broxbourne
To celebrate the Beijing Olympics and the 2012
London Olympic Games ‘Active Broxbourne’ in conjunction with
Broxbourne Council is running a week of sports and cultural
activities for all the family to enjoy.
From Monday 18 August until Sunday 24 August
there will be a variety of activities for residents to try
out. They will be held at various venues across the Borough
giving everyone the opportunity to join in.
Those taking part will receive an official
passport on their first session and a gold medal for every session
they take part in. The top 20 individuals with the most
medals will win prizes.
There will also be two art sessions taking
place themed World Culture and World Sport. The sessions are
priced at £1 each and you can stay as long as you want.
Activities include: kayaking, sailing,
softball, climbing, windsurfing, soccer, and swimming. Full
