Over 70 organisations participating in Open Day 2010

Broxbourne’s Community Open Day 2010 will take
place on Saturday 3 July at the Borough Offices in Churchgate,
Cheshunt. Last year’s event attracted over 1,500
visitors.
Open Day 2010 is an opportunity for residents
to find out more about the wide range of activities provided by
local groups, clubs and associations as well as services provided
by the Council. All types of special interest groups, community
groups and charity organisations are welcome.
More than 60 groups attended Open Day 2009 and
over 70 have confirmed attendance at this year's event. The
charities, special interest clubs, and volunteer groups which have
booked space at this year’s event include The Hardy Plant Society,
Churches Together, S.E. Herts Beekeepers, The Hoddesdon Society,
Herts Heavy Horse Association and HertSavers Credit Union.
Refreshments will be provided by the WRVS. This year, the
Council has been keen to encourage as much community participation
as possible and is delighted to welcome many new organisations to
this annual event.
The event is open from 2pm until 5pm and is
free to attend. Broxbourne’s Community Open Day is an ideal
opportunity for the local community to see just how much is going
on in Broxbourne.
