Christmas and New Year opening hours

During the Christmas and New Year period, the Borough of Broxbourne Council Offices and one stop shops will be closed as follows:

Grundy Park Leisure Centre (GPLC) and The John Warner Sports Centre (JWSC) have varied opening hours over the festive period, which are detailed below:

 

Saturday 24 December - JWSC and GPLC open 7am – 3pm

Sunday 25 December - JWSC and GPLC closed

Monday 26 December - JWSC and GPLC closed

Tuesday 27 December - JWSC and GPLC open 7am – 3pm

Wednesday 28 December – JWSC and GPLC open as normal

Thursday 29 December - JWSC and GPLC open as normal

Friday 30 December - JWSC and GPLC open as normal

Saturday 31 December - JWSC and GPLC open 7am – 3pm

Sunday 1 January - JWSC and GPLC closed

Monday 2 January - JWSC and GPLC open 7am – 3pm

Tuesday 3 January - JWSC and GPLC open as normal

 

Cheshunt Park Golf Course will be closed on Sunday 25 December, Monday 26 December and Sunday 1 January.

 

For further information about opening hours over the festive period residents can call The John Warner Sports Centre on 01992 445375, Grundy Park Leisure Centre on 01992 623345 and Cheshunt Park Golf Course on 01992 624009.

 

Broxbourne Civic Hall will remain open from 9am to 5.30pm every week day with the exception of Monday 26 December, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 December when it will only be open for pantomime performances. It will be closed on Sunday 25 December, Sunday 1 January, Monday 2 January and Tuesday 3 January. Performances of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ will take place from Friday 9 December until Saturday 31 December 2011.  The box office will generally be open during pantomime performances and residents can continue to book tickets online at the 'what's on' section of the website.

 

Over the festive period, residents can visit the website which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to find out information about Council services.  Emergency calls will be handled by the Council’s central control service which will operate during the holiday period on 01992 639561.
