Oyster card launches at four Broxbourne stations

Passengers travelling to and from Waltham Cross, Theobalds Grove, Cheshunt and Broxbourne stations can now use the Transport for London (Tfl) Oyster card scheme to pay for their journeys in and out of London.

Leader of Broxbourne Council, Councillor Paul Mason welcomed the extension of the Oyster card scheme: “I am pleased that Broxbourne residents will now be able to use Oyster cards – this is something that the Council has lobbied for for some time.  We are committed to working with partners to ensure that people who live and work in Broxbourne have access to the best possible rail transport services”.

By using the Oyster card, passengers can save between 40 - 45 per cent of the cost of an off-peak, ticketed fare and between 12 – 23 per cent of a peak fare.

For further information and to help plan a journey residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the Transport for London website.
