Over 250 attend Council’s annual Garden Party
The Council’s annual garden party was held at
the Borough Offices in Cheshunt on Sunday 24 June. The event is an
informal “thank you” to members of the local community who have
given their services during the year.
The guests were welcomed on arrival by Leader
of the Council, Councillor Paul Mason, and the Mayor of Broxbourne,
Councillor Eddy Rowland. MP for Broxbourne, Mr Charles Walker, also
attended the event.
This year fifteen ‘Special Citizen Award’
winners were presented with their awards during the afternoon along
with London 2012 Games tickets to mark their service to the
community.
There was entertainment in the form of a
London 2012 and Diamond Jubilee themed quiz and music from acoustic
guitarist, Jules Faife.
