Street cleansing in Cheshunt
Maintaining the cleanliness of streets is difficult where parked
cars impede access to the edge of roads and in some instances
footpaths. The Council is to undertake a special cleanse of
Burleigh Road and Cecil Road, Cheshunt on Wednesday 16 July
2008.
This follows a series of intensive cleanses
around the Borough, most recently in Waltham Cross in May, where
five roads put forward by the Four Swannes Residents Association
were cleaned with the assistance of a number of residents who
voluntarily moved their cars whilst the cleansing took place in
their road.
As with the previous operations, the Council
has written to residents in Burleigh Road and Cecil Road, asking
them to help by removing their cars between 9am and 12noon on
Wednesday 16 July 2008, and signage is in place to request that
people refrain from parking in these roads during this period.
Residents who think that their roads would
benefit from this street cleansing scheme, or who require further
information can contact the Council on 01992 785577.
