Broxbourne: A prime location for filming projects
Broxbourne Council welcomes film companies to the Borough, which is a prime filming location perfectly located close to London, just north of Junction 25 of the M25. With its varied landscape, there are residential, office, urban and rural areas for production companies to take advantage of. We are open to all filming requests and will consider alll applications for filming within our buildings and land. Applications for filming on the highway outside the town centres should be made to the highway authority, Hertfordshire Council Council. Please visit:

The borough has a long, varied history of filming and featured in the major motion picture ‘Stardust’ in 2007, the BBC's planning documentary 'Permission: Impossible', 'Antiques Roadshow’ and more recently the BBC's Elizabeth 1st Secret agents and Channel 4's drama ‘Damned’. This was produced by What Larks. The Managing director and producer of the show said:
"We recently filmed the sitcom series, Damned written by Morwenna Banks, Jo Brand and Will Smith starring Jo Brand and Alan Davies at Broxbourne Council offices. The staff were enormously accommodating and very pleasant to work with. We really appreciated their patient and helpful manner and would love to work with them again. We are enormously grateful to all the staff for how welcome they made us feel when we were essentially taking over their offices - not something a lot of people would warm to easily. it was a very good experience. Thank you"
