The museum offers a range of learning opportunities for all ages.
A wide range of workshops are available, based on popular topics in the history curriculum at Key Stage 1 and 2. Our Education Officer can deliver workshops in your school or here at the museum. All workshops give pupils the chance to work hands on with historical objects and engage in practical activities to learn about life in the past.
We also have loan boxes containing a range of objects on a historical theme, with supporting notes and ideas on how to use them to develop pupils’ knowledge and understanding.
We welcome enquiries from schools looking for something different to our regular programme and will do all we can to arrange something to suit your needs.
