The new Broxbourne Lottery in aid of local good causes is now live! Members of the public can now buy tickets online at www.broxbournelottery.co.uk to support the local good cause of their choice and be in for a chance of a £25,000 prize.
The Lottery will raise funds for local charities and community groups, who can signup for free. Lottery players can choose which group will directly benefit from half of their £1 lottery stake, with a further 10p per ticket going into the Council’s Community Grant fund to be distributed to further good causes.
Tickets are available online to players aged 16 or over, with a weekly draw offering an opportunity to win a £25,000 jackpot, and many smaller cash prizes at odds that are more favourable than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery. To celebrate the first lottery draw on 4 November, players will also be able to win a Kindle Fire Tablet 8.
Broxbourne Lottery is licensed by the Gambling Commission. It is run on the Council’s behalf by Gatherwell Ltd, an approved external lottery manager, which has established similar lotteries for other local authorities.
So far, around 35 good causes have signed up for free to benefit from ticket sales. A full marketing pack has been provided to help good causes recruit supporters.
Members of the public interested in buying tickets for the first and subsequent draws should do so online at www.broxbournelottery.co.uk.
