Time is running out to nominate amazing young people for the Broxbourne Youth Awards 2018.
Broxbourne Council has invited the public, clubs and organisations to put forward local young people and those who work to support them. There isn’t long left to nominate, as the deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 31 January.
Young people (aged 11 to 19, or up to 25 for those with a disability), projects, clubs and teachers can be nominated online in the following 14 categories:
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Broxbourne’s Young Sports Personality of the Year
- Broxbourne’s Youth Team Achievement of the Year
- Youth Project of the Year
- Youth Disability Project of the Year
- Club of the Year
- Youth Worker Award
- Young People’s Charity of the Year
- Young Person’s Achievement Award
- Inspirational Teacher Award (Secondary School)
- Young Person’s Contribution to Culture
- Young Carer’s Award
- Young Person’s Contribution to the Environment
- Apprentice of the Year
Tom Culley, Youth Mayor and Chair of Broxbourne Youth Council, said: “At the Youth Council, we cannot wait until this year’s Broxbourne Youth Awards. It's important that as many people as possible nominate to ensure we celebrate, unite and congratulate all of the achievements across our Borough'.
Deputy Youth Mayor Sophie Barber said: “The Youth Awards is a chance to show your appreciation for those working in and for youth services and we’re delighted that we can celebrate these achievements.”
Members of the public can nominate a young person or group by completing an online nomination form at www.broxbourne.gov.uk/youthawards
Winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a ceremony on Friday 9 March 2018 at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon.
