Icons of the ‘80s will see three big acts of the era join forces.
Eighties legends Go West, Nik Kershaw and Cutting Crew will play a special gig at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon on Thursday 25 January. With millions of album sales between them, they’ve got countless hits to get people dancing.
Go West’s first hit single, We Close Our Eyes, came out more than 30 years ago. More hits soon came, with Call Me, Goodbye Girl, Don’t Look Down, Faithful and the smash hit from Pretty Woman, King of Wishful Thinking.
Nik Kershaw first achieved chart success in 1984 with Wouldn’t It Be Good? followed by classics such as Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me and The Riddle. As a prolific writer for other artists, Nik also penned the number one single The One and Only for Chesney Hawkes.
Cutting Crew will always be remembered for (I Just) Died In Your Arms. Formed in the mid-1980s, the Anglo-Canadian rockers were nominated for a Grammy as they helped to define the club scene during the decade. More than 20 years later, singer and songwriter Nick Van Eede has signed new record publishing deals and is back on the road with new material.
Tickets cost £32 and the event starts at 8pm.
