Welcome to the Borough of Broxbourne
The Borough of Broxbourne covers 20 square miles in south
east Hertfordshire and has a population of about 89,000.
Broxbourne's towns of Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Broxbourne and
Hoddesdon lie along the Lee Valley's main roads and railways.
Broxbourne is a good place to live, work or locate a business.
On 4 November, the Borough Council issued the
formal notice of approval for the planning application for the 2012
Olympic white water canoe centre in Waltham Cross. The
approval is subject to a s.106 planning obligation to deliver
improved foot and cycle access and other benefits to the local area
and followed confirmation that the application was not being called
in by the Secretary of State.
