Apple Safari

Broxbourne Council has tried to make this web site as accessible as possible for visitors with a visual impairment. In addition, we are pleased to offer advice to visitors on how to get the most out of their web browsers.

Not everyone finds it easy to read small text and certain text/background colour combinations. If you wish to make the Broxbourne Council web site easier to read all you need to do is make a couple of simple changes in your browser settings.

The following instructions apply to version 1 or 2 of Safari on Apple OS.

Change Text Size

To change the default text size for all websites:

  • Choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Advanced.
  • Select the checkbox to never use fonts smaller than the selected size.
  • Choose a font size from the pop-up menu.

More information on using Safari is available from Apple: Safari Support.

More information about the accessibility options on Apple Macintosh computers is available from Apple - Accessibility.
