Opera

The following instructions apply to version 8 of Opera on Microsoft Windows.

 

Change Text Size

To change the size of the text for this browsing session:

  • Select the View menu from the browser toolbar.
  • Select the Zoom option.
  • From the menu select how much you want the page to be zoomed into or out of - note that this will also increase/decrease the size of any images on the page.

To change the default text size for all websites:

  • On the Tools menu select Preferences.
  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Select Fonts
  • Change the Minimum font size (pixels) value to reflect the smallest size at which you want fonts to appear (if required).
  • Select the Web Pages tab.
  • Set a new value for Page zoom to ensure all webpages are either zoomed into or out of.
  • Click OK to confirm your changes.

 

Change Text Color

You may also find it helpful to change the colour scheme, for example, to a yellow/black combination.

  • On the Tools menu select Preferences.
  • Select the Web Pages tab.
    • Click the rectangle to the right of Normal font.
    • In the popup box, click the rectangle below Color and choose a text colour (e.g. yellow).
    • Click OK to confirm your changes.
    • Click the rectangle to the right of Monospace font and repeat the same procedure.
  • To change the background colour, click the rectangle to the right of Background color and choose a background colour (e.g. black).
  • Click OK to confirm your changes.
