U3A Painting for Pleasure

Lea Valley U3A Painting for Pleasure is a small friendly group of enthusiastic painters using a variety of mediums such as Watercolour, Acrylics and Pastels.  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month in the meeting room of Hoddesdon Methodist Church, Middlefield Road at 10am.

 

 

Teens Unite

Art provides the opportunity to express oneself, improving physical, mental & emotional well-being, helping to resolve issues, develop and manage behaviours and feelings, reducing stress and improving self-esteem.  Teens Unite are delighted to exhibit an inspirational array of artwork created by the young people they support – young people aged 13-24 who are battling or have battled cancer.

A Rainbow Ride- original Paintings by Mary Ann Day

Reflective paintings by Mary Ann Day from across the world, mirroring the joy of colour. They represent a rainbow ride across the globe, from sand and sea to forest and mountain - and give a glimpse of the people the artist met on the way.

A self-taught artist, Mary Ann has experimented with different styles and textures, frequently using a palette knife in her work. In 2016 she was shortlisted to take part in the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year and has featured in several exhibitions in Hertfordshire and around London.

 

Mary Anne Medayil and Lucy James

Monday 22 April to Friday 31 May

Lucy James and Mary Anne Medayil are two Hertfordshire artists with a passion for painting. Lucy is currently focused on exploring abstracts with an acrylic medium. Mary Anne uses acrylic and resin in her paintings.
