The Council publishes the agenda and minutes of all Council meetings. Agendas for each meeting are published at least five days before the meeting, along with those reports to be considered. Reports containing certain ‘exempt’ information (for example, details relating to individuals, the prosecution of crime etc) are not published, though this is relatively rare. Where reports are not available five days before a meeting, they will be made available as soon as reasonably practical.
A record of decisions taken at meetings – the information sheet – is published as soon as possible after each meeting.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe meetings of the Council. The public is permitted to take photographs and video recordings at meetings, so long as this is not disruptive. Members of the public wishing to observe meetings should therefore be aware that they may be photographed or filmed.
