Cheshunt Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) provides treatment for minor fractures, cuts, sprains and other urgent but not life-threatening injuries. It is open from 8am to 8pm every day, including weekends and bank holidays. No appointment is needed.

The MIU does not treat minor illnesses or children under one year of age.

If you need immediate medical advice, but it’s not a 999 emergency, call 111. 

Only call 999 if someone has had a suspected heart attack, lost consciousness, a suspected stroke, severe burns, a severe allergic reaction, lost a lot of blood, or has difficulty breathing.

Need help getting to hospital? The voluntary Community Cars service for Broxbourne and East Hertfordshire may be able to help. Telephone 0300 123 1677 at any time between 9am and noon from Monday to Friday. There is a 24-hour answerphone. The keywords would be hospital, transport and shuttle.
