The Council, in partnership with Epping Forest District Council, has established the ‘Culture without Borders Development Trust’, a charitable trust created to support Lowewood and Epping Forest District Museums and the Spotlight Theatre in Hoddesdon.
Its objective is to assist with ambitious development plans and further promote the knowledge and appreciation of local history and culture, not only on a local scale, but on a regional and national level. The trust plays a key role in developing funding strategies and campaigns to assist with future development as well as attracting new exhibitions and events.
The trust is recruiting for trustees from members of the public living or working in the Borough of Broxbourne or Epping Forest District, or those that have a passion for culture, history and learning.
Applications are sought from those who are not only committed to ensuring that the culture and future of the museums and theatre are secured but also from those who possess specialist skills in the following areas:
• Communications / Public Relations
• Arts / heritage
• Retail, hospitality and tourism
• Charity and Social Enterprise
Members of the public who are interested in this opportunity can contact Tony O’Connor at Epping Forest District Museum via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01992 564986.
Deadlines for expressions of interest are midday on Friday 24 November 2017. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be during the week commencing 4 December 2017.
