Nominations open for Broxbourne Youth Awards 2019

Broxbourne Borough Council and the Broxbourne Youth Council are encouraging nominations to identify the amazing achievements of young people living or studying in the Borough of Broxbourne. 
The nomination process for the Broxbourne Youth Awards 2019 is available online and members of the public, clubs and organisations are invited to nominate local young people and those who work to provide services for young people in 14 categories to recognise and celebrate their achievements. 381 nominations were received for the 2018 Youth Awards. 
The nomination process was formally opened at the 2018 Mayoral Debate for Secondary School held on Wednesday 21 November at Broxbourne Council.
Young people (aged 11 to 19, or up to 25 for those with a disability), as well as projects and clubs, can be nominated in the following categories:

1. Young Volunteer of the Year

2. Youth Project of the Year

3. Youth Disability Project of the Year

4. Club of the Year 

5. Youth Worker Award

6. Young Person’s Achievement Award

7. Inspirational Secondary School Staff Award 

8. Young Person’s Contribution to Culture

9. Young Carer’s Award

10. Young Person’s Contribution to the Environment

11. Apprentice of the Year

12. Dame Marion Roe Young Citizen Award

13. Todd Waldock Young Entrepreneur Award

Members of the public can nominate a young person or group by completing an online nomination form at Nominations are open until 5pm on Friday 25 January 2019.
Winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a ceremony on Friday 29 March 2018 at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon.
