On Friday 15 September, Snow White and her companions sang ‘heigh-ho’ all the way to the Spotlight Theatre to launch this year’s professional Christmas pantomime, which will be staged between 13 and 30 December.
The launch event gave the public a sneak peek into the magic that awaits behind the curtains via a Facebook live broadcast that featured some of the main characters dressed in dazzling costumes, extravagant make-up and a bucket full of humour.
Headlining the cast and present to bring majesty to the launch was kids’ TV favourite Anna Williamson who will be playing the title role as the heroine Snow White.
Urging the public not to miss out on this year’s must-watch pantomime, Anna said: “This is my return to panto after a long time and I couldn’t be more excited about it. There most definitely won’t be a dull moment, with lots of laughter to be had and the kids will love the surprises we have in store!”
Anna will be joined by James Meunier as Snow White’s handsome prince, who will bring powerhouse vocals to the enchanting Brothers Grimm fairy tale.
Also on the line-up are James Dangerfield as the adorable Muddles, Oliver Gray as Dame Dolly, Dean Horner as the Wicked Queen, Alexander Lee as the Queen’s bumbling right hand man and Ashlee Young as the Woodland Fairy.
To complete the enchantment, seven little dwarfs will bring mischief and merriment to the show.
The audience will be guaranteed a good time with this year’s exciting cast and much-loved storyline which will be accompanied by creative choreography, fire breathing and live music.
