Decision-making and the Constitution

Key Decision Notices

All meetings of the Cabinet commence at 7pm in the Council Chamber at the Borough Offices in Cheshunt, unless otherwise stated. The definition of a key decision can be found in part 4B of the Council’s constitution.

Documents pertaining to any key decision will be available at least seven days before the decision is to be made (or if this is not possible, as soon as is practical thereafter) from the Council’s website. Other documents relevant to the matter may be submitted to the decision maker.

The reason that an item is likely to be considered in private session is that it may involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified in the relevant category of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972. Definitions of these categories are listed in part 4B of the Council’s constitution.
