Independent member of the Audit and Standards Committee
Broxbourne Borough Council is seeking an Independent Member to join its Audit and Standards Committee. The Audit and Standards Committee is a key component of the Council’s corporate governance. It provides an independent and high-level focus on the audit, assurance and reporting arrangements that underpin good governance and financial standards.
The Committee is looking for people ideally with a local connection and with an interest in finance and/or governance to enhance the Audit and Standards Committees’ work on behalf of the people of the Borough. The aim of the independent member is to bring a fresh and objective viewpoint to the work of the Audit and Standards Committee and support them to carry out their work.
