Notes for applicants

To apply for any of the positions advertised please complete the online form. Shortlisting for an interview will be solely on the basis of the information you provide in the online application form. All applications must be received by the closing date.

Here are some tips to make the best of your application:

  • make sure you complete all sections of the application form (even if you attach your CV) and mark any sections that do not apply to you as 'not applicable' or 'N/A'
  • consider the skills needed for the job and use the ‘Supporting information’ section to describe your suitability for the job and provide evidence by giving specific examples of your experience, skills and achievements
  • if you have limited work experience please describe any responsibilities, experience or achievements you gained outside of the workplace

After the closing date the Council will aim to inform you by email within 10 days if you are being invited for interview. If you are offered a position, the Council will aim to make this offer within 10 working days of your attendance at interview.

The Council welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. Contact the Council if you need help in either:

  • completing your application
  • attending your interview

All data will be stored securely within the Council’s applicant tracking system. The data belongs to you therefore should you no longer wish the Council to have access to your data you can withdraw your application or close your account at any time. All applications are removed from the system six months after the vacancy closing date.
