Hoddesdon Charter Fair returning to town centre

The annual Hoddesdon Charter Fair will take place in the town centre between Friday 1 and Sunday 3 October.

The fair will be officially opened at the Clock Tower by the Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor David Taylor at 3.45pm on Friday.

Throughout the weekend, the High Street will host a range of rides and activities for the whole family, as well as street entertainers, fairground organs, steam engines and a Punch and Judy show.

On Saturday, a special Community Day will take place from 11am to 5pm with charity and crafts stalls under cover at Fawkon Walk. The funfair will run alongside the Community Day, starting at 11am and finishing at 9.30pm. It will then run from 11am until 7.30pm on Sunday.

Other entertainment on display over the weekend will include face painting, stilt walkers and vintage funfair vehicles. There will also be a performance stage in the high street between 11am and 5.30pm on Sunday.
