Spotlight Theatre due to re-open February 2022

The Spotlight Theatre will be opening its doors to the public in February 2022.

The Broxbourne Council venue, close to Hoddesdon High Street, boasts a host of first class entertainment lined up to welcome the public back, with fun for all ages.

For sports fans, there are evenings with Glenn Hoddle, Harry Redknapp and ‘The Whirlwind’ Jimmy White. Music fans will be able to snap up tickets for R&B group The Drifters, The Very Best of Bacharach, and for younger pop fans a tribute to some of music’s current leading ladies in Pop Divas Live!

Families keen to get back to the Spotlight will be able to see Peppa Pig’s Best Day Ever, The Smartest Giant in Town, and The Wizard of Oz Easter Pantomime – starring Bobby Davro.

Cllr Dee Hart, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Health at Broxbourne Council, said:

“After a testing 18 months in the theatre world, we are thankful that there is light at the end of the tunnel for us all. So, to celebrate the return of live entertainment we have programmed a fabulous line up of rescheduled and fresh new shows for all tastes and ages, including live music, comedy, family shows, an evening with sporting legends, psychic nights, drag and party nights, and live theatre shows.”

A new website is also under construction for The Spotlight and set to be unveiled in late autumn, In the meantime, residents and members of the public can still find more information about events and book tickets by visiting www.thespotlightvenue.com.
