Photo competition to capture Borough’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations

The leader of Broxbourne Council has launched a special Platinum Jubilee photo competition as part of efforts to capture a moment in history across the Borough.

As well as helping to document the celebrations over the next month, the winning entry will receive two tickets to a show of their choice at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon.

To enter, you must be a resident of the Borough of Broxbourne, and your photographs must be taken within the Borough boundary. The deadline for entries is Thursday, 30 June.

Councillor Lewis Cocking, Leader of Broxbourne Council, said: “All you need to do is submit your best snaps from celebration events within the Borough. This could be from any of the three beacon lighting events to the numerous jubilee street parties taking place, or even from some of the colourful Broxbourne in Bloom contestants.”

Please email your photographs to communications@broxbourne.gov.uk with the subject ‘Jubilee Photo Competition’. Send your full name and address, as well as the location of the event.

Photos submitted may be used by the Council to further publicise the Borough and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and will be retained and stored in the Lowewood Museum archive.
