Autumn will be seeing a packed programme of shows for all ages at the Spotlight, Hoddesdon.

The Overtures will be making a welcome return to the Spotlight on Saturday 3 September at 8pm. After performing at Sir Elton John’s wedding, he stated to GQ Magazine, “The Overtures are the world’s finest 60s tribute act!” Playing every aspect of 60s music from The Beatles and The Searchers, through to the surf sound of The Beach Boys, the rhythm and blues of The Rolling Stones, The Mamas and The Papas and The Who, this is an event not to be missed. This is a standing event and all tickets cost £18.

The Spotlight is also welcoming comedy back to the stage this autumn, with the Jongleurs back on the road providing a much needed, good old-fashioned laugh. They will be bringing the finest stand-up comedy on Friday 9 September at 8pm with four hugely hilarious acts. All tickets for this event cost £15.

The music of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers will be filling the auditorium at the Spotlight on Sunday 11 September at 7.30pm. This thigh-slapping stage show brings together the beloved glamour and personality of Dolly, along with Kenny’s energy and charisma. The production will be performing all the hits including Jolene, Ruby, 9 to 5, Lucille, Here You Come Again, The Gambler and of course, smash hit Islands in the Stream. All tickets for this event cost £25, Spotlight Friends £22.50.

Award-winning show, The Hits of Abba takes to the stage on Friday 16 September at 7.30pm. This high-energy production features Abba’s best-loved hits, including Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Voulez Vous, Waterloo, and many more! All tickets for this event cost £25.50.

On Saturday 17 September at 7.30pm, adult panto returns to the Spotlight with the most magical, naughty tale of them all, Sinderella. Starring Fairy Drag Mother, Janey Jacke (Drag Race Holland Season 1 and the UK vs The World Season 1) and Wicked Step Mother Detox (Drag Race Season 5 and All Stars Season 2). With sparkling sets, costumes and a ‘laugh a minute’ script, this is a night at the theatre not to be forgotten. Greet and photo tickets for this event cost £44.50, with standard ticket prices at £29.50. The age recommendation for this event is those aged 16+ due to adult content.

Sally Morgan, the nation’s favourite Psychic and forerunner in the psychic world is back at the Spotlight after two hugely successful sell-out shows in 2019. Sally puts the audience on the edge of their seats as she brings mediumship in the 21st century. Sally Morgan is at the Spotlight on Thursday 22 September at 7.30pm, and all tickets cost £26.

Lost in Music, the magical 70s show, will be arriving at the Spotlight on Saturday 24 September at 7.30pm. The production will be reliving some of the greatest songs of all time, from artists such as Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Earth Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge and Chic. It’s the feel good show of the year and visitors are wencouraged to come dressed to impress to celebrate the golden age of disco. All tickets for this event cost £29, Spotlight Friends £26.10.

Fans of The Stylistics can enjoy the voice of Eban Brown, lead vocalist of The Stylistics for 18 years. In 2018, Eban performed as part of the ’40 Years of Disco’ tour, alongside Tavares, Sister Sledge, George McCraw, Odyssey Rose Royce and Boney M. Eban will be performing with this live band and singers on Friday 23 September at 7.30pm, all tickets for this event cost £25.
