National Play Day coming to Cheshunt Park this summer

Further information on the National Play Day event in Broxbourne this summer.

Young people across Broxbourne will come together to celebrate Play Day, the national day for play, on Wednesday 3 August 2022 at Cheshunt Park.

As well as a celebration of children’s right to play, Play Day is a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives. Play Day is coordinated by Play England, in partnership with Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.

Now in its 35th year, National Play Day provides an ideal opportunity for communities to come together to celebrate, play together and have fun. It also provides a platform for play advocates to promote the positive impact that playing has on children’s mental and physical health, wellbeing and development.

The event will take place at Cheshunt Park from 12noon-4pm. It will host a range of traditional games and sport activities, inflatable games and a wet play zone.
