The Mayor of Broxbourne reappointed

The Mayor appointed for a second term.

At last night’s Annual Council meeting, Councillor Paul Seeby has been re-appointed as the Mayor of Broxbourne for the municipal year 2023/24.

After signing the declaration, The Mayor said “It is a privilege for me to be re-appointed as The Mayor of Broxbourne. I’m looking forward to representing our residents and businesses once again. There are many exciting projects throughout the Borough and I look forward to continuing to meet residents and community groups.”

Councillor Sherrie McDaid will also continue as the Deputy Mayor for a second term.

The Mayor’s charity will remain the same. Broxbourne Community Fund, which is managed by Hertfordshire Community Foundation.

In addition, the Leader of the Council, Councillor Lewis Cocking, announced that the membership of the Cabinet will remain unchanged for 2023/24. The appointed Cabinet members are:

  • Councillor Lewis Cocking, Leader of the Council
  • Councillor David Holliday, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for the Environment
  • Councillor Paul Mason, Cabinet Member for Finance
  • Councillor Siobhan Monaghan, Cabinet Member for Housing and Community
  • Councillor Tony Siracusa, Cabinet Member for Planning
  • Councillor Dee Hart, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Health
  • Councillor Steve Wortley, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth

The chairmen of the Council’s committees remain unchanged for 2023/24.
