Broxbourne extends licensing hours for the Lionesses' World Cup Final

The Council, along with the rest of England, is delighted that the Lionesses have reached the Final of the Football World Cup. Broxbourne residents and businesses are encouraged to get behind the team and show their support.

Many pubs and bars in the Borough will be showing the match, which is due to start at 11am. For some establishments, this falls outside of their permitted licensing hours. Any public house, private club, bar or restaurant with an existing alcohol licence that wishes to open to the public and serve alcohol from 10am on Sunday 20 August 2023 and is not already licensed to do so should provide the information listed below and send it to the Council’s licensing team at licensing@broxbourne.gov.uk. No fee is payable.

Given the short timescale for making applications you are unlikely to receive a written approval but no action will be taken against any existing licensed premises which has submitted the information below before they start to operate.
