Free Pumpkin Patch and Scarecrow Trail in Waltham Cross this Halloween

A fun line up of free Halloween activities will take place in Waltham Cross town centre this Halloween, including a pop-up pumpkin patch and Halloween Scarecrow Trail.

The Pumpkin Patch will take place on Thursday 26 October, 10am-4pm, in Queen Eleanor Square, or in case of adverse weather conditions, inside the Pavilions Shopping Centre. It will be complemented by mini wheelbarrows and straw furrows, each packed with pumpkins to choose from free of charge.

On the day there will also be an opportunity to take photos in a Halloween-themed set complete with a cart, hay bales, pumpkins, spider webs, spiders and other spooky features.

Visitors will also be treated to a Pumpkin Patch Scavenger Hunt, colouring activities and walkaround scarecrow acts.

The Waltham Cross Halloween Scarecrow Trail runs from 21-30 October during shop opening hours, with scarecrows hidden in 10 participating shops along the High Street. Anyone can join in the fun for free and submit completed trail forms with the names of each scarecrow and riddle answer for the chance to win tickets to a show at the Spotlight.

This year’s Summer of Fun event in Waltham Cross also hosted a competition giving a lucky resident the chance to win a family ticket to a show at the Spotlight. Residents had to submit multiple choice answers about the local area and a short statement on why they love Waltham Cross. Dalilia Theodosiou was the chosen winner with her entry stating: “I love Waltham Cross because it has a wide range of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and more. It is a vibrant community with everything you need. A great place to visit, shop and dine”.

Other Halloween trail events organised by local businesses will also take place in Cheshunt. The Cheshunt High Street Spooky Skeleton Trail and the Cheshunt Old Pond Pumpkin Trail will run from 21-29 October during shop opening hours.
