As part of its commitment to support the aspirations of local businesses and residents, Broxbourne Borough Council has a dedicated programme to fund a range of business and skills services.
The success of this programme has been captured in a new infographic report for the 2024/25 financial year.
The report shows the outputs and outcomes which participating businesses and residents have benefited from.
Councillor Steve Wortley, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Growth said: “It is important for residents and businesses to understand how taxpayer money is utilised to help improve the vitality of our local economy. I’ve been to multiple business support events run by Broxbourne Council and seen first-hand how these services can help residents upskill and businesses thrive. This report helps to demonstrate the impact of these services.”
The Skills and Business Support Programme includes services to help businesses get started, and access optimal financial solutions to grow. In addition, residents can also access skills bootcamps for short term courses covering a range of important economic sectors including construction, engineering and the creative industries. These services have been designed to help businesses create new jobs, while also helping those out of work into work.
