Broxbourne Borough Council is pleased to share that HAPpy Camps will return for the festive school holiday, offering fully funded activities for eligible children and young people across Hertfordshire.
The popular programme provides children who receive benefits-related free school meals with the opportunity to take part in engaging holiday activities, meet friends, learn new skills and enjoy nutritious meals, free of charge. Families should receive their child’s booking code directly from their school.
All camps are inclusive and designed to meet the needs of most children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), provided that relevant information is supplied at the time of booking. In addition, a number of SEND-specific camps will be available for those who require a higher level of support.
Bookings open on 27 November 2025, with sessions running between 22 and 31 December 2025.
The HAPpy Programme is funded by Hertfordshire County Council and the Department for Education (DfE) through the government’s Holiday Activity and Food Programme. Delivery is coordinated by the Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership in collaboration with the Hertfordshire Community Foundation.
Families are encouraged not to delay in securing their child’s place.
Bookings can be made via the Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership website at https://sportinherts.org.uk/happy-activity-camps.
