Generation Broxbourne 2026 connects students with career opportunities

The fifth annual Generation Broxbourne event took place on 17 March 2026 at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon.

Over a thousand students from local secondary schools, along with more than 30 employers from both local and national businesses, attended the event showcasing opportunities for young people.

Year 10 students from schools and colleges across the Borough of Broxbourne had the chance to engage with industry and sector leaders to learn about the career opportunities available to them in the future.

The event was funded by Broxbourne Council and the Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP), which is managed by Hertfordshire Futures.

HOP is the premier gateway in Hertfordshire to explore careers advice and opportunities around apprenticeships, skills training and engagement with schools.

The Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor Patsy Spears, said:

It is vitally important that Broxbourne continues to support programmes such as this, which inspire young people and broaden their understanding of the pathways available to them after leaving school.
