Hoddesdon’s popular outdoor cinema returns to the High Street for 2026

Hoddesdon’s outdoor cinema will be returning to the High Street on Saturday 20 June, with three family-friendly films to watch throughout the day.

The big screen will be erected on the High Street in partnership with Love Hoddesdon. Attendees are advised to bring their own food, chairs, and blankets to make themselves comfortable. Local cafés and shops will also be open as usual for visitors to get refreshments.

The programme begins with Moana 2 at 11.15am, followed by The Goonies  at 1.30pm and Grease at 4pm to conclude the programme. No booking is required, allowing attendees to come and go as they please and watch as many or as few of the films as they like.

The outdoor cinema is part of Love Hoddesdon’s Midsummer Festival, which takes place over two weeks and features a wide range of activities across Hoddesdon and Broxbourne, hosted by local groups and organisations. It is one of many events taking place across the area as part of the wider festival programme.

Other activities range from sports open days to museum heritage tours among other events. The festival culminates on 28 June with the Gala Day, which will bring food, craft stalls, live music, and fairground rides to Hoddesdon High Street.

The outdoor cinema is the second taking place in the Borough in 2026, with Waltham Cross hosting its own event on Tuesday 26 May.
