Councillor Patsy Spears has been re-elected as Mayor of the Borough of Broxbourne for a second consecutive term at the Annual Council Meeting on Tuesday 19 May.
Having attended over 200 events across the Borough and raised over £13,000 for her designated charities during her previous term, Councillor Spears said:
It has been a privilege to serve as Broxbourne’s Mayor and I’m honoured to have been granted a second year in the role. I look forward to another 12 months of connecting with the diverse and hard-working communities across the Borough.
Councillor Julie Gunnell has been appointed as Cabinet Member for Finance, and the Annual Council Meeting also confirmed the re-appointment of Councillor Sacha Kanatli as Deputy Mayor for a second term.
The Council’s Cabinet Members for 2026/27 are:

- Councillor Jim Clune, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Environment and Community Safety
