Visitors to Grundy Park in Cheshunt can now discover more about the park's history, facilities and ongoing transformation through two new information boards.
The boards, leading to the Laura Trott Leisure Centre, include a map of the park and highlight how the area has developed over time, giving both regular visitors and newcomers a greater appreciation of everything the park has to offer.
Following regeneration works completed in 2024, which delivered a new grand entrance, feature gardens, upgraded sports pitches, improved pathways and enhanced landscaping, the boards represent the Council's continued investment in the park.
Councillor Pierce Connolly, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, said:
Grundy Park plays a key role in the health, wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents. These new information boards will help tell the story of the park, showcase its modern facilities and support our wider vision of creating high quality public spaces that people can enjoy for generations to come.
The project is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and forms part a wider programme of improvements designed to enhance local spaces and encourage more people to make use of the Borough’s award-winning parks and green spaces.
