Broxbourne's AI-Powered Search Bar Proves a Hit with Residents

Broxbourne Borough Council's AI-powered search bar has answered more than 12,800 resident queries in its first four months, with 97.4% receiving a good response.

Broxbourne's search bar is powered by Agent-Ex: Search, a tool developed by Jadu specifically for the public sector. When it launched earlier this year, Broxbourne was one of the first councils in the country to introduce the technology. It connects residents directly with the information they need, providing helpful summaries or directing users to relevant pages on the Council's website.

Since launching, the tool has recorded 12,803 searches, an average of 753 per week, and has provided over 1.25 million words in responses to residents' queries. Feedback from residents has been positive, with users praising it for being helpful, quick and efficient.

Agent-Ex: Search only uses publicly available content from the Council's website and does not have access to personal data, ensuring a safe and trusted experience for all users.

The search bar is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.broxbourne.gov.uk.
