Broxbourne Council is bringing a packed programme of free festive events to Broxbourne this winter, with celebrations planned across Hoddesdon and Waltham Cross throughout November and December.
Hoddesdon Loves Christmas, organised in partnership with Love Hoddesdon, opens the programme on Sunday 29 November. Running from 10am to 6.30pm in the town centre, the day brings together live performances from singers, dance groups, choirs and a brass band, Christmas stalls, festive food and drink, funfair rides and a snow globe photo experience. A Christmas parade and fireworks display bring the evening to a close.
Throughout the first two weeks of December, local schools from across the Borough will take part in the Festival of Carols.
Hoddesdon schools will perform Christmas carols at the Hoddesdon War Memorial on 2, 4 and 9 December, from 9.30am to 3pm, while Waltham Cross schools will perform inside the Pavilions Shopping Centre on 2 and 4 December, from 9.30am to 3pm.
Rounding off the festive programme, the Waltham Cross Christmas Festival takes place on Saturday 5 December, from 10am to 6pm. Guests can enjoy live entertainment, Christmas stalls, a giant snow globe and a visit from Santa and his elves, with a free gift while stocks last.
All events are free to attend and open to the whole family. For more information, visit www.broxbourne.gov.uk/events.
