Residents in Broxbourne advised to look out for their voter registration details from Broxbourne Council

Local residents are being urged not to lose their voice on decisions that affect them by making sure their electoral registration details are up to date

With elections taking place in Broxbourne in May 2021, this is an important opportunity for residents to make sure they can take part.

The annual canvass ensures that Broxbourne Council can keep the electoral register up to date, identifying residents who are not registered so that they can be encouraged to do so. They would then be able take part in any future elections.

This year’s canvass, which the Council has to carry out by law, is taking place during a challenging public health situation. The Council is working to ensure that canvassing takes account of public health guidelines, including the continued importance of social distancing.

Each household will receive a letter showing who the Council currently has registered on the electoral register. If the information on the form is correct then no further action is needed. If the information on the form is incorrect or shows no-one registered at that address, residents should follow the instructions on the form to make any changes or have resident details added.
