Broxbourne Borough Council Community Grants Scheme 2021/22

The Broxbourne Borough Council Community Grants Scheme 2021/22 is now open for applications.

This year applicants are invited to apply through the Council’s new online form, available here. The Community Grants Scheme is split into two types of application, including subsidies to local community groups and/or a cash grant funded by the Broxbourne Lottery Scheme.

Subsidies to local community groups

Each year the Council invites applications from local not-for-profit organisations for three types of subsidy for the year ahead, including:

  • Non-domestic rate (NDR) relief - discount on business rates
  • Facility subsidies – subsidies on the hire of Council facilities
  • Notional rental – discount on rent for tenants of Council property.

Broxbourne Lottery Scheme

The Council also invites applications for cash grants of up to £500 for the year ahead, which are funded from the Broxbourne Lottery Scheme.

These subsidies and grants are not open to individuals or commercial businesses. Organisations that apply must be working for a 'local good cause' that will benefit the residents of the Borough of Broxbourne. Applications will be rejected if this is not the case.

The application timetable is:

  • 30 November 2020 - application period closes
  • February 2021 - applications for reliefs and subsidies are considered by the Grants Panel
  • April 2021 - grant award payments are made.

Further information is available at www.broxbourne.gov.uk and residents can email grants@broxbourne.gov.uk with queries.
